Privacy policy
This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit kindspend.co.uk or join the KindSpend waitlist. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
KindSpend is a trading name of Oak Woodland Ltd (company number 09902778), registered office 1 Lucas Bridge Business Park, 1 Old Greens, Old Greens Norton Road, Towcester, Northamptonshire, NN12 8AX. What we collect and why

If you register a charity’s or business’s interest
We collect the organisation’s details and your name, role, work email and (optionally) phone number, plus what you’ve asked us for. We use them to send you our onboarding pack, arrange a call and talk to you about working with KindSpend. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. These details are kept on a separate list from the shopper waitlist and we won’t add you to shopper emails. We keep them for as long as we’re in conversation, and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
We never ask for payment card details on this website. We’ll never sell or share your details, we don’t use them for advertising, and we’ll only email you when there’s real news about KindSpend.
Analytics and cookies
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and sign-ups. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t collect personal data and doesn’t track you across websites. We never send your email address to our analytics.
Our website doesn’t set its own cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our sign-up form from bots, may use strictly necessary technical data to do so. We keep a note of how you arrived in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab, so that it can be recorded if you join. After you sign up, it also notes (without your email address) that you still need to confirm, so we can remind you on the page, and whether you’ve hidden the “Join the waitlist” bar.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:
- Brevo (EU) stores the waitlist and enquiries, and sends our emails.
- Google Workspace handles our email inbox and calendar, including intro-call bookings.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, provides bot protection, and holds our own copy of the waitlist and enquiries, with daily backups, so the list never depends on a single provider.
- Plausible Analytics (EU) provides cookieless, aggregate website statistics.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it’s protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- If you don’t confirm your email address, we send you one reminder after about a day, and delete your details within about 30 days. We keep a short-lived record of unconfirmed sign-ups, for no more than 7 days, only so we can send that reminder.
- If you confirm, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until 24 months after KindSpend launches or the project closes, whichever is sooner.
- We keep daily, access-restricted backups of the waitlist and enquiries for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. You also have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Emailhello@kindspend.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office atico.org.uk.
When KindSpend launches
Joining the waitlist doesn’t create a KindSpend account. When the service launches, we’ll invite you to register, and we’ll publish a full privacy policy covering card linking before you share anything more.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
